Crypto payments: what to weigh if the cashier offers them
Crypto in a casino cashier is a side door rather than the main entrance: most players still fund their accounts with cards or bank payments. If your account does show crypto options, they come with quirks of their own — and almost all of them matter for bonuses: the conversion rate, the network and separate promotional rules. The set of methods and the limits depend on your account — check the cashier.
The rate and the qualifying deposit
A coin deposit is converted into the account currency at the rate in force when it is credited, not when you press send. Suppose the bonus requires €20 and you send coins worth €20.50; while the transaction confirms, the price dips and €19.80 is credited — no bonus (illustrative example, not an Irwin term). Send with a margin, or use a stablecoin if one is offered.

Crypto and bonus rules
Promotion terms treat crypto in one of three ways: as an ordinary method that qualifies like any other; as an excluded method; or with a dedicated crypto offer that has its own multiplier and game list. Only the current terms tell you which one applies. If the method is excluded, the deposit still lands on your balance, it simply arrives without a bonus. The method for judging any offer is in our wagering guide.
Who crypto suits — and who it does not
If you already hold a wallet and know how transfers work, crypto can be a sensible extra. If you would be buying coins specifically to make a casino deposit, you are stacking risks on top of each other: an exchange fee, a rate that moves, and a network you could get wrong. In that case a card or bank payment is simpler and easier to dispute if something goes wrong.
Withdrawing in crypto
Payouts normally go to a wallet of the same coin. Before requesting one, make sure any bonus wagering is complete — a request with an active bonus often voids it. Paste the address and check the first and last characters; a mistaken transfer cannot be reversed. Identity checks for crypto withdrawals are usually the same as for bank payouts. Records and taxes
Price changes between deposit and withdrawal can create a gain or a loss in your home currency. If you use crypto regularly, keep a record of every transaction and check the tax position with a qualified adviser where you live — we do not give tax advice. The same records help if you ever need to dispute a payment with the operator.
